Student Mental Health Supports

Posted Date: 9/19/25 (12:59 PM)

Dear WB Parents/Guardians,

In light of the recent tragic events occurring across our country, the West Babylon School District Counseling and Student Services Departments would like to remind families of the school-based supports and regional resources available to our students.

Within our schools, social workers, psychologists, and guidance counselors are available to meet with students. They provide individual sessions as needed, along with ongoing counseling services as recommended. When appropriate, families may also be referred to outside mental health providers for additional support.

If you have a concern about your child’s mental health, please reach out directly to your school’s social worker, psychologist, or guidance counselor. Contact information is attached to this email and is also available on our district website.

For families experiencing a crisis, 211/Emergency Mobile Psychiatric Services are available. In an emergency, please call 911. Additional local resources are included with this letter for your reference.

We encourage you to review the resources provided and reach out as needed. Together, we remain committed to supporting the well-being of every student in our school community.

Sincerely,

West Babylon Administration Team
